Give Your Burdens To The Lord

Give Your Burdens To The Lord Give your burdens, your cares, your struggles to the Lord and let Him hold you up. Remember, you are always on His heart and being carried on His shoulders. Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. The word casting means “to throw upon.” Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. You don’t have to carry that weight, that burden. Throw it upon the Lord. If you can’t even do that, roll it upon Jesus, drop it at His feet. Whatever, however, just give it to Him. Exodus 28:9-12 And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel: Six of their names on one stone, and the...

From Bitter To Sweet

From Bitter To Sweet Exodus 15:22-25 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, Marah means “bitter.” (This name has the same meaning as Miriam and Mary , which we will come back to in a few moments.) Ruth 1:20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. The waters were bitter until the tree was put into it, then those same waters were made sweet. The interesting thing here is this event occurred only three day...

Romans 8:1 - Now No Condemnation

Romans 8:1 - Now No Condemnation Romans 7:19-25 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. The great dilemma of the ages: where do I receive victory in my Christian life? In my flesh I cannot please the Lord nor live the way He wants me to live. On my own, I cannot even fulfill the Law's demands. The battle the Apostle Paul describes in Romans 7 seems well-nigh hopeless, futile, vain - but ...

The Meaning Of Christmas

This is the message I will be preaching today (Friday, December 14, 2005), Lord willing. Wanted to remind everyone about the meaning behind the holiday we profess to be celebrating: The Meaning of Christmas 1) The Person (ie. the names used): Who was the person born in that manger 2000 years ago? It was God manifest in the flesh (see 1 Timothy 3:16 and John 1:1, 14), the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity. Isaiah 7:14  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Matthew 1:23  Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,  The mighty God, The everlasting Father , The Prince of Peace. Luke 2:11 For unto you is born t...

The Perfection Of Forgiveness - Part Six

The Perfection Of Forgiveness Sections In This Study: Introduction Part One - Forgiven Seventy Times Seven Part Two - The Name Of Jesus Part Three - Sevenfold Covenants And The New Covenant Part Four - The Spotless Lamb Of God Part Five - The Perfection Of Christ Part Six - We Are Spotless In The Eyes Of God   (See below) Part Seven - Sevenfold Forgiveness Part Six - We Are Spotless In The Eyes Of God   We are the bride of Christ, redeemed by the Lamb of God without blemish and without spot, redeemed by His precious blood. The Father sees us in Christ, in His Beloved, with whom He is well pleased. In fact, He is pleased with us when we are in the Lord Jesus Christ. Read the first three chapters of Ephesians and notice the many times it states we are placed in Jesus Christ – that is our identification before God the Father, placed in the Lord Jesus Christ the moment we put our faith in Him as our Saviour, trusting in His finished work on the cross of Calvary.   In the ...
